Sault Ste. Marie team that helps homeless people find a place to live is being recognised for its work
Once a week, people from different agencies in Sault Ste. Marie get together with one task in mind. Find stable housing for the homeless. The Homelessness Prevention Team was established four years ago and so far they've housed 81 people. Recently they received the Local Municipal Champion Award for their work. Joanne Pearson is chair of the team and she spoke with the CBC's Jan Lakes about the work they do.
