Jan Stick on some unique books in her Whitehorse, Yukon store
Well read books, in Whitehorse, Yukon, is celebrating its twentieth anniversary this week. It was opened in 1999 by long-time Yukoners Jan Stick, Hans Herdes and Karen Walker and is the territory’s only used bookstore. The owners are passionate about preserving and promoting Klondike history and have an extensive collection of books (over 50,000) spanning a variety of subjects, both fiction and non-fiction, including children’s books. Co-Owner Jan Stick talks about how Well Read books came to be and highlights a couple of the unique books in the store.
