University of Saskatchewan launches on campus housing for queer students
Fitting into to university life can be especially hard for many LGBTQI2S+ students. Especially for those living on campus. So this September a new U of S pilot program will help self-identified queers students live in residence together. Students in queer housing will still be fully integrated in campus life. But they'll also have a place of their own where they feel safe and totally accepted for who they are. Sarah Sotvedt, manager of student life at the U of S. Professor Simonne Horwitz is the co-chair of the Provost`s Advisory Committee on Gender and Sexual Diversity. They spoke with Saskatoon Morning's Jennifer Quesnel.
