CAQ MNA Christopher Skeete on why his party adopted the controversial secularism bill and immigration bill under closure

Two controversial bills passed at the National Assembly this weekend: Bill 21, the CAQ's secularism bill which bans public employees from wearing religious symbols; and Bill 9, the CAQ's immigration bill that will throw out around 16,000 immigration applications. Quebec premier François Legault invoked closure putting a limit on debate time and using his party's majority in the National Assembly to adopt the bills before the assembly breaks for the summer. We speak with CAQ MNA Christopher Skeete, the Parliamentary Assistant to the Premier for Relations with English-speaking Quebecers.
