After two women are rescued in Ghana, a former Canadian ambassador reflects on the risks of travel in parts of Africa

Two students from the University of New Brunswick - Lauren Tilley and Bailey Chitty - were rescued yesterday during a police raid in Ghana. The young women were volunteering with the non-governmental group Youth Challenge International when they were kidnapped on June 4th. Gar Pardy has been watching the story unfold from his home in Ottawa. He's a retired Canadian ambassador and consular official. He spoke with Jonna Brewer.
