A federal report recommends one single-payer universal pharmacare program

It's no secret that the cost of prescription drugs can be a real hardship. Seniors and low income people are particularly hard hit if the medication they need is not covered by MSI or private health coverage. The Liberal government appointed a panel to look pharmacare.... and it released its final report yesterday. It recommends a national single-payer, universal pharmacare plan and says it could save Canadian 5 billion dollars a year. Diana Whalen is a former Deputy Premier of Nova Scotia and a member of the advisory council.
