Daybreak Alberta

For those old enough to remember, a train trip was something special, but it's been decades since the locomotive was an essential, if not the only, means of transport across vast distances. As the car and the plane supplanted trains as the way we explored the country, many have never forgotten the romance of riding the rails. One of those people is retired Banff travel professional, Terry Gainer, who spent his career selling travel experiences for Brewster. However, his fascination for rail travel began a young boy and now he's poured his memories into a new book called "When Trains Ruled The Rockies: My Life at the Banff Railway Station."
