Joyce Corbin shares memories of the war years as we commemorate the 75th anniversary of D-Day.
On today's podcast, we commemorate the 75th anniversary of D-Day, the allied invasion of Normandy that eventually led to the end of the second World War. Ninety-four year old Joyce Corbin of Happy Valley-Goose Bay has vivid memories of the war years and she shares some of them with us. As part of our Environment Week, we're hosting a free screening of a Land & Sea documentary tonight at the Lawrence O'brien Arts Centre. We'll hear from a young female pilot on what it's like working in the aviation industry. And yesterday, we went out in the sunshine for a community clean up in Sheshatshiu. We hear from some of the kids who participated.
