Liberals are red, Conservatives are blue. But when you don't belong to a party, what colour are you?
Pundits in Ottawa are still contemplating the political landscape after Jody Wilson-Raybould and Jane Philpott announced they will run as independents in the next federal election. In 2015 the Liberals painted much of the electoral map red. But if Philpott and Wilson-Raybould hang onto their seats, at least part of that map will turn grey. It might seem like a trivial observation, but as CBC's Blair Sanderson explains, colour plays a significant role in political messaging.
