Love them or hate them, self-checkout counters are popping up in retail stores across the country. Some say they like the control of scanning their own items. Others find them too complicated and worry about the loss of cashier jobs. But there's another group of people who see self-checkouts as an opportunity .... to steal. CBC's Blair Sanderson has this look at the challenges retailers face preventing shoplifting when customers are left to themselves.
