Greater Moncton's transit system is in the spotlight now that Dieppe is piloting a free-ride program for people 17 and under. Some users have pointed out that cost is not the hurdle to using transit in the city. The bigger problem is poor route planning and inconvenient schedules. That was once a problem in Kingston, Ontario as well. But that city fixed some of those problems and increased ridership increased by 73 percent. Jim Neill is a councillor for the city of Kingston. He told Jonna Brewer how they did it.
