It has been nearly 6 years since the the big flood of 2013 in Calgary. Once spring hits and snow packs start melting and and rain starts falling, many of us still get a bit nervous. There is still flood mitigation work that needs to be done, but in terms of immediate safety in the downtown area, we can breathe a little easier. The City of Calgary has embedded some flood control measures in the Eau Claire Market area. It's all 'hidden' in the newly revitalized space.
