The story behind the exoneration of Chief Poundmaker

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will visit the Poundmaker Cree Nation, north west of Saskatoon Thursday. He is making the trip to exonerate Chief Poundmaker, who was wrongly convicted of treason-felony in a battle against Canadian forces in 1885. The Poundmaker Cree Nation has long called for Poundmaker's acquittal. Milton Tootoosis is a headman there. He spoke with Saskatoon Morning's Jennifer Quesnel.
