City of Kamloops reveals ideas for biosolid mangement

Daybreak Kamloops

The City of Kamloops invited media on a tour of the Sewage Treatment facility yesterday. They wanted to talk about the long-term plan for dealing with biosolids. That's the sludge left over from the treatment process. Currently, the plan is to spread the city's biosolids on land in the Turtle Valley, but people who live there are fighting it. Yesterday Utility Services Manager, Greg Whiteman showed reporters exactly where biosolids come from and talked about what might be done with them in future. Daybreak's Jenifer Norwell was there.
