Alabama's Senate passes a near-total ban on abortion

It's now up to the governor to ratify it. If it's signed, that would make it the strictest anti-abortion law in the States and performing an abortion would be a felony and only be allowed if a woman's health is seriously at risk. Why is the issue up for debate again? We spoke with Judith Taylor, a professor of Women and Gender Studies at the University of Toronto.
