6 colleges in the north combine resources to focus on recruiting students from southern Ontario
Colleges are always looking to boost enrollment. Six of them across the north: Confederation, Sault, Cambrian, Northern, Canadore and College Boreal decided to put their figurative heads together on that issue. They used some of their own funding plus some from the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund to market themselves. The Study North Initiative and targets a huge source of potential students in the Greater Toronto Area. Theo Maragaritis is a brand strategist with T-W-G Communications, which was hired to recruit students to northern Ontario. He spoke with reporter Kate Rutherford about the program.
