Northwestern Ontario Women's Centre director navigating the fallout from a substantial reduction in funding to legal aid

The provincial government has cut funding to Legal Aid Ontario by 35 per cent. Now, those cuts are trickling down to community-based, non-profit organizations like the Kinna-aweya Legal Clinic in Thunder Bay. The clinic offers help and support around income security and eviction prevention. Those are important issues to many of the people Gwen O'Reilly talks to each day. She is the director of the Northwestern Ontario Women's Centre. The CBC's Cathy Alex asked her about the relationship between the centre and legal aid clinics.
