WestJet to be sold in $5B deal

Toronto-based Onex Corporation is buying WestJet in a deal valued at $5B. Under the agreement, Onex will pay $31-per-share for the Calgary based airline. Shareholders will vote on the transaction in July. Rick Erickson is a Calgary-based independent airline analyst who has done some consulting work for WestJet.
