New Brunswick's ombud responds to a new report on safety and psychiatric care at the Restigouche Hospital Centre in Campellton

Information Morning - Moncton

The province's only psychiatric hospital has been under the lens this year. New Brunswick ombud Charles Murray released a highly critical report on the hospital in February. Health Minister Ted Flemming responded by hiring an independent mental health expert to look into care at the hospital. That report was tabled yesterday. It recommends keeping the centre open with some improvements to safety and services. Jonna Brewer spoke to Charles Murray for his take, along with Jacques Duclos from the Vitalité Health Network.
