Researcher looks at the impact of Beyond Meat on Saskatchewan's agriculture industry

If you're not familiar with Beyond Meat's plant-based might soon be. The California company's meat alternatives have already made their way into restaurants and grocery stores in our city. But will the popularity of this plant based protein boost Saskatchewan's economy? Tom Warkentin says it will. He's a professor of plant sciences at the University of Saskatchewan, who specializes in breeding and genetics around pulse crops. He spoke with Saskatoon Morning's Jennifer Quesnel.
