High school rugby has been cancelled in Nova Scotia

Information Morning - NS

The Nova Scotia School Athletic Federation says it made the decision after a review of head injuries. The Federation says in the last five years, there have been 149 cases of head injury in high school rugby. That's more head injuries than football, hockey and soccer combined. Some parents, coaches and players question the accuracy of that data. Charlotte Thomas is a student and rugby player at West Kings high school in the Valley. She started an online petition to ask the Athletic Federation to rethink its decision.
