Some of the biggest names in women's hockey are boycotting the sport

More than 200 women hockey players say they will not play in any North American league next season, in hopes of bringing about a more economically viable league.This follows the demise of the CWHL earlier this year. Liz Knox - former goalie for the Goalie Markham Thunder, and Former Canadian Women's Hockey League Player's Association Chair - is one of the players taking part in this.
