Ed Whittingham discusses his decision to resign Alberta Energy Regulator
An environmental policy expert has resigned from the board of the Alberta Energy Regulator. Ed Whittingham was the former executive director of the Pembina Institute. He was the key architect of the 100-megatonne cap on oil sands emissions introduced by Rachel Notley's NDP government. UCP leader Jason Kenney had promised to fire Whittingham as one of his first acts as premier.
