The Homestretch

When you hear the word "exoskeleton" it could conjure any number of images in your head: maybe Iron Man from the Avengers, maybe insects like ants with their hard outer shells... But exoskeletons are also becoming a part of treatment for patients at the Foothills Hospital. They're being used with people who have undergone spinal cord trauma, some of whom have been completely paralysed. Sarah Lawrynuik has just produced a radio documentary for CBC's The Doc Project on this subject.
