Sandstone and bricks were the building materials of choice for many Alberta towns and cities more than a hundred years ago. For architect Darrel Babuk, each brick and stone tells a story about Alberta's past. He is the keynote speaker at the Alberta Masonry Design Awards tonight in Calgary. He is an Edmonton architect who grew up in Calgary. He specializes in preserving heritage buildings and has practiced architectural conservation in Chicago.
