How do we tell what's real and what's fake online?

Canadians are susceptible to foreign influence online in the lead-up to this fall's federal election, according to a report from the Communications Security Establishment this week. Part of the onus is on social media sites to tackle misinformation, but it's also on us to recognize, and not share fake news. But how do you become more media literate? What does even that mean? We discuss with Megan Boler, professor of social justice education at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education at the University of Toronto.
