Environment Minister defends giving Loblaw a $12 million carbon reduction subsidy

Minister of the Environment and Climate Change Catherine McKenna responds to the uproar on social over the government subsidizing the Loblaw chain. The Canadian government will invest up to 12 million dollars to help the chain retrofit its refrigeration system. It's just a portion of the full cost of the retrofit. Loblaw will cover the remaining 36 million to fix about 370 stores.
