Emma House: a refuge for homeless pregnant women and youth

The Homestretch

When Amorette Hunter got pregnant, she was 18 years old with nowhere to go - until she found Emma House. It's a safe transitional housing program for expectant mothers who are at risk of being homeless. A fundraiser is being held this week. Amorette Hunter is her pen name. We're not using her real name to protect her family. Carmin Moore is the executive director of Emma House.
