Nursing prof predicts a revolution in health care as patients gain access to electronic health records

There was a time when only your family doctor had access to your medical history. Your blood work, immunization record, prescription history was all contained in a file that belonged to your doctor. However today most of that information is stored electronically. And may be easily accessed by other health professionals or even the patient. But in some cases, there are barriers to overcome. Tracie Risling is a nursing professor at the University of Saskatchewan. She spoke with CBC's Leisha Grebinski
