Blood test developed in Calgary could help detect breast cancer earlier

The Homestretch

A new blood test could help detect breast cancer earlier. The test would provide answers more quickly than waiting for mammograms or biopsies. Kristina Rinker is an Associate Professor of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Calgary. She developed the test through her research. Bob Shepherd was a research associate at the U of C and is now the president of Syantra, the developers of the test. They both joined host Doug Dirks in studio.
