When it comes to the workplace, most people know where they stand in terms of their seniority and influence on the job. But in politics it's not always so clear, especially to the public. As we've seen through testimony in the SNC Lavalin affair, the doling out of cabinet portfolios is often a good measure of an MP's importance. It's also a key tool the Prime Minister uses to keep his caucus in line. So what exactly is the hierarchy when it comes to cabinet positions? CBC's Blair Sanderson has this look at the political pyramid in Ottawa.
