National Geographic photographer Thomas Peschak

The Homestretch

Swimming with sharks and manta rays, playing with gray whales and getting close enough to actually smell the fishy breath of humpback whales. These encounters are all in a day's work for Thomas Peschak. He is an award-winning conservation photographer who has dedicated his career to documenting the world's oceans and coasts. He's in Calgary this Sunday and Monday to present a talk called: Wild Seas, Secret Shores. It's part of Arts Commons' National Geographic Live series. He joined host Doug Dirks in studio.
