We all know that having working smoke alarms can save lives. But there's another safety measure that is not nearly as common in single family homes. And experts agree that automatic sprinklers drastically improve people's chances of surviving a fire. There is a renewed focus on this issue following the death of seven children in a Halifax fire in February. And that got CBC's Blair Sanderson wanting to take a closer look at the pros and cons of residential sprinklers.
