B.C. tries to fix a perennial problem driving up housing prices in Metro Vancouver

Home sales in Metro Vancouver plummeted to their lowest level in nearly two decades last year, but the benchmark price of a condo still sits at $664,100. The B.C. government now says it has launched Canada's first registry aimed at cracking down on pre-sale property flipping and tax evasion, in the hope of making housing more affordable in the region.
