Saskatoon physiotherapist says dogs may help children with cerebral palsy walk better

It's the most common motor and movement disability. Cerebral palsy is a neurological disorder that affects a child's motor skills, movements, and muscle tone. Brain damage is the underlying cause. There is no cure but researchers at the University of Saskatchewan say they have found that dogs can help children with the disorder to walk and gain self confidence.
