Why a British Columbia Doctor is among those calling for legalized heroin

It's an idea that's likely to be unpopular for some: legal, and regulated, sales of heroin for people with opioid addictions. But that's the recommendation from a report released yesterday by The B.C. Centre on Substance Use. Dr. Keith Ahamad is an addiction physician and the Medical Director of the Vancouver Coastal Regional Addiction Program. He's also one of the authors of the report.
