Long time Saskatoon jazz musician dies unexpectedly over the weekend

Saskatoon Morning

Long time jazz musician Maurice Drouin died suddenly over the weekend. It was just hours after playing a concert at the Hawood Inn in Waskesiu. Drouin was 82, but he was showing no signs of slowing down. In fact, he was already planning a Christmas concert at The Bassment. Don Griffith is the artistic director of The Bassment and knew Maurice well.
