Inside a 787 Dreamliner with chef Michael Allemeier

The Homestretch

Westjet Airlines did the big reveal of their new 787 Dreamliner plane today. The 320 seat plane is supposed to be bigger, quieter and more luxurious, thanks to the addition of business and premier class. But the no-frills carrier is entering uncharted territory when it comes to high-end service. So it reached out to SAIT's hospitality experts for help. Michael Allemeier is a culinary instructor at SAIT, a former executive winery chef and one of only a few Canadians to earn the prestigious title of Certified Master Chef. He joined host Doug Dirks on the line.
