Patients lobby to retain mental health emergency unit at RUH

Mental health patients in Saskatoon used to spend hours, even days, waiting for help at Saskatoon's busiest emergency department. Some patients say they still do. An emergency mental health assessment unit that opened less than a year ago was supposed to stop that. Patients say it's often short-staffed.... often it's closed. And a number of people believe it was set up to fail.
