Spike in vehicle collisions reported in Sudbury this winter

Morning North

Greater Sudbury Police say the number of car crashes this winter has skyrocketed. You can blame it on the weather, but police say human error is the bigger factor. That means demand for rentals or collision service centres has skyrocketed as well. Sergeant Tim Burtt is the head of the Traffic Unit in Sudbury. He spoke with the CBC's Kate Rutherford about the factors behind the increase in collisions. We also heard from Dan Mallette, the manager of the collision centre at Cambrian Ford, about the high demand for his services.
