Minority groups say body cameras could curb police misconduct in Montreal, but Mayor Valérie Plante has just nixed the idea after a year-long pilot project, where police officers could voluntarily turn on the cameras during interventions. We speak to city councillor Alex Norris, the chair of the city's public security commission; and Guy Pilon, the mayor of Vaudreuil-Dorion, whose municipal control officers use body cameras.
