Concerns continue to be raised around supervised injection sites, especially after a recent Calgary police report that showed a spike in crime and drug-related calls near the city's only site at the Sheldon M. Chumir Health Centre. Some residents and business owners in Medicine Hat worry about crime going up when a safe injection site opens in their city later this year. Edmonton meanwhile, has four safe injection sites. To find out how things work in the capital city, we've reached Marliss Taylor. She is the director of Street Works and co-manages the supervised consumption site at Boyle Street Community Services in Edmonton.
