Teo Taxi has failed. Here's what industry leaders are taking away from its collapse

Teo Taxi stood out because it had an all-electric fleet of electric cars. It attracted investment from different levels of government, the QC pension fund manager and the FTQ solidarity fund. It also paid drivers by the hour, offered vacation and benefits, and emphasized a slick mobile app, billing itself as an alternative to Uber. But this Tuesday it all came to a sudden end, shutting down for good and putting 450 drivers out of work. We speak with George Boussios, the President of Champlain Taxi and the spokesperson for Taxi Grand Montreal; and we also speak with Raphaël Gaudreault, who is starting up a new ride-sharing company called Eva.
