McGill postpones decision on Redmen name

McGill University says it needs more time to decide what will happen to the "Redmen" name. It was expected to announce its decision on the controversial name of the varsity men's sports teams this month, but Principal Suzanne Fortier said in a statement that she is postponing the decision because of the high volume of messages she's received. She now says she'll announce the final decision at the end of this academic term. We speak with Tomas Jirousek, an Indigenous student and a varsity athlete at McGill. He's been lobbying the school to change the name.
