"This is not a new problem," says safety advocate on first pedestrian death of 2019

Montreal's first pedestrian death of the year has come just three weeks into 2019: on Tuesday, a 79 year-old woman was walking on the sidewalk along Parc Ave near St-Joseph, when a garbage truck turning right out of an alley struck and killed her. The driver says he didn't see her. We speak with Alain Deschamps, the spokesperson for Ghost Bikes Montreal, a pedestrian safety advocate.
