Food Trends with Elizabeth Chorney-Booth: January 16, 2019

The Homestretch

It used to be that people would tune into watch Julia Child and be able to come away with a lovely Quiche Lorraine. Food shows were about cooking and actually learning how to create a meal. But more recently, tv cooking shows are less "cooking" and more about chefs competing to win a title, or watching others travel around eating at diners. That's what our Homestretch Food Trends columnist is tackling today. Elizabeth Chorney-Booth is a Calgary-based food writer -- and our guide to foodie culture in Calgary.
