Some doctors in Red Deer are calling for the province to lift a funding cap on hip and knee replacements -- saying patients face unnecessarily long waits. One resident, Bradley McEwan, gave up waiting for his hip replacement. Thanks to a generous family member, he finally got it done at a private clinic in Quebec. the surgery cost more than 22-thousand dollars. But he says it was worth it. Dr. Keith Wolstenholme is the Chief of Orthopaedic Surgery for Red Deer Regional Hospital.
