Former second world war spy shares her story in Saskatoon

The novels The Nightingale and The Alice Network have focused attention on the role of women spies during World War II. Especially those who were part of the French resistance. 98-year-old Marthe Cohn was one of those spies. When the Nazis rose to power, her sister was sent to Auschwitz and her Jewish family fled to the south. Marthe decided to fight back. In November of 1944, she joined Resistance and posed as a German nurse.
