A tale of why crows make terrible pets

By now, maybe you've heard about a bird named Mortimer. Last month, Mortimer hurt his wing and a Saskatoon woman brought him into her home. He narrowly avoided a death sentence when conservation officers realized Mortimer was not a raven, he was simply a crow. Now he's spending winter inside the woman's house, waiting for surgery. Hearing about him made Harold Pexa smile. His family also adopted a pet crow, back in the early 1960s.
