The Homestretch

Alberta Health Services unveiled the plans for Calgary's new mental health centre for kids, teens and young adults this week. The three-storey, 34,000-square-foot facility is scheduled to open in late 20-21 in the northwest community of Hounsfield Heights. The plans include a 12-hour mental health and addictions walk-in clinic, a day hospital with therapy for youth discharged from the hospital and intensive treatment for families and youth. Dr. Chris Wilkes is the Section Chief for AHS's Child & Adolescent Outpatient & Specialized Services.
